"I was a competitive swimmer in my youth through high school. I started running in college and kept running through my time in the U.S. Navy. My interest in running was renewed when my children became youth soccer referees and I certified along with them. My running allowed me to keep up with the play at the very start of the season for high school varsity matches.
It was in the summer of 1996 that a co-worker saw me running at lunch one day and suggested I join the company team for the 5K held in Hartford each August. That led to running 5K's regularly and to trying the 10K distance at the Windsor Lions Club Bradley Airport Road Race. By 2003, I was ready to give the Hartford Half Marathon a try.
My first Marathon was the 2004 Walter Child Race of Champions in Holyoke, MA. Later that year, I also competed in the Hartford Marathon. I have run marathons in New York, Boston, Arizona, and Florida."
Thank you again it was a pleasure to have you as my coach, the entire process was very easy and reasonable. You were a great coach with a personable experience which I appreciated. You helped me achieve my goal as well as learn something new. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you."
